I love pictures of my kids. Since I live far away from most of my loved ones I am constantly taking pictures to send to everyone so they can see my kids' growth and changes. At holiday time each year I take all of my kids to get their annual Christmas picture, which usually is very stressful for all of us. Trying to get everyone to sit still, look at the camera and smile in the small studio space is honestly a Herculean task that leaves me dreading having to do it again the next year. This year we did something a little bit different and had a photo session with Kristen of Photography by Kristen Marie. The entire experience was a refreshing change! Photography by Kristen Marie shoots on location, and Kristen met us at a local park. She interacted in an enthusiastic way with my kids, and let them explore the park while capturing their real excitement and candid expressions with her camera. Her photojournalistic approach made getting their pictures taken fun for my kids, and the result was fantastic photos and a two year old who commented on how nice Kristen was when she left. The only hard part is now choosing which pictures to send to my family, as there are so many that I like!
